Forth Valley Junior League (FVJL)
Forth Valley Junior League is a Club Competition for younger swimmers in order that they can experience competitive swimming as part of their club team.
The event is normally held at Grangemouth Leisure Centre, with the competition held over 6 heats spread throughout the year. Ten clubs from across the Forth Valley area participate, with points accrued from each heat to determine their placing in the Final held each December at Xcite Bathgate
Each of the heats is held over two sessions on the same day with 5 clubs taking part in each session. Each of the member clubs also host/run one of the 12 sessions throughout the year.
The event consists of a number of individual swims in one of 3 age groups (9 & Under, 11 & Under and Open) either 25m or 50m swims, as well as a number relay events over 100m & 200m. It is a great opportunity to introduce our younger swimmers to the world of competitive swimming whilst allowing our older and more experienced swimmers to compete as part of Team Trojan.
At the end of each session participating swimmers are given juice and crisps provided by the club. The dates and times for the FVJL are posted within the events calendar and swimmers at an appropriate level will be invited to participate in advance of each heat.
The cost participation and the entry fees for the competition are met by the Club.
Spectators are welcomed with a small entry fee payable to the host club along with a separate charge for the programme. A raffle/tombola is also generally available.

What a great way to end 2025, with our Club Captain, Holly, lifting the Forth Valley Junior League “A” Final Trophy yesterday on behalf of the team in what turned out to be an hugely exciting Final in this FVJL’s 40th anniversary year.
Trojan were so close to lifting the League Trophy as well after finishing equal on points in the League table with Hailes, but we were just pipped to the title in an exciting swim-off to determine the League Champions.
Huge congratulations to Hailes winning the League and well done to Fauldhouse on winning the “B” Final. Big shout out to all participating clubs and swimmers for making this such a fantastic competition.
Finally, a massive thank you to our team of Trojan volunteers who helped us, as hosts, deliver such a great event.
