You may be surprised to know, but at Trojan it's not just all about the swimming. We also offer training sessions for water polo. At present we train once a week at Whitburn Academy on a Tuesday evening.
Our water polo squad is a recent development and we are actively seeking new members to join this fast paced team sport. Entry to the water polo squad is not restricted to members of the swimming club, however anyone wishing to join must still undergo a swimming assessment/trial with the club and become a member of SASA for insurance purposes.
Overtime we aim to grow the squad in order that we may compete within various competitions.
Should you require any further information on our Water Polo Squad or wish to join please contact us.
Paul is currently Vice-President of Trojan ASC and has been involved with the club since 2014. He is a Level 1 Water Polo coach and also Land Trainer. He is also a Judge 1 Swimming Technical Official.
No special equipment is required. Members are only required to attend with their swimming costume and towel. For safety reasons goggles are not required and must not be worn during water polo. Protective caps are currently provided by the club.
